The security situation over the past couple of years has limited leisure time activities. Our teachers came forward with a solution to finding safe night time leisure activities with the “Night Out” program. One evening each week one of our teachers hosts a fun activity for all interested students. Chocolate making, Kumzitz and basketball are a small sampling of what they have done.
Chagigas
The Chanukah and Purim Chagiga are highlights of the year. Weeks of preparations go into ensuring their success. Whether in choir, dance, drama, catering or artwork, every student is able to express her talents. The students have the opportunity to see the teachers in a different light as they participate in skits, help with the dances and direct the Chagiga activities. Live music and delicious food add to create an atmosphere of excitement and fun.
Yemei Iyun
Six days, spread throughout the year, are reserved for Yemei Iyun. Our students explore a selection of topics such as Kedushas Shabbos, The Role of Women, Inner Beauty, Emes, and Emmunah. The day is divided between presentations by top level speakers and interactive experiential programs in which the students to apply the concepts that they have learned.
There are also many other opportunities to expose our students to the dazzling array of Yerushalayim’s personalities: A sampling of our list of guest speakers include Rabbi Emanuel Feldman, Rabbi Dovid Kaplan, Rabbi Dovid Orlofsky, Rabbi Menachem Nissel, and Mrs. Rena Tarshish.
